a time for Jubilee [Day]

Three days ago, June 21, 2007, was Jubilee Day here in my town. It's a big street fair. They close off four blocks of Main st. and two blocks of Market St. There's lots of stuff to do. There's overpriced food, overpriced games, and lots of free pens. a lot of the local companies had these wheels to spin and try to get a prize. on one of them I spun, and I was so close to getting the prize. the little clothes pin thing was so close to getting on the prize one. I just needed that extra bite of breakfast. but they let me take a prize anyways. it was early in the morning, it didn't really matter. The local NBC station had a "deal or no deal" that we could play. they had four "cases", and one of them had their logo in it. so we had to fill out a little thing with our info on it and place it in the containers that represented the cases. my church is right in the middle of town, so they have lunch and bake sale items that they sell. Usually i stop down there to get something to eat, but i decided to eat at home. i live about two blocks from where the closed road begins, so i just pop in and out. i think it's fun when it's gets really crowded. well, maybe at first. even though i ate lunch and supper at home, i save room for ice cream and purchased a hot fudge sundae.(a mere $4) I ate it while i walked home. normally i would probably have finished eating my ice cream after i got home. i would be walking fast enough that there would still be some left. not the case on thursday. it took me a half mile to eat this stuff. it wasn't even very big. it was just a few scoops of ice cream, whipped cream, and hot fudge. that's it. but i'm hoping that because i walked so far and stood for a while before walking it means that the ice cream had a negative calorie effect on me. i doubt that though. but it's okay because i think i walked about 10 miles. i went out five times out and back. out the entire way is a mile. plus the two miles from the night before walking out and back to see them set up.

all in all, a very good day. i had an awesome time, and can't wait till next year.

Feels like summertime...

Well, i finished the school year today. about 20 minutes ago actually. so now i'm done with sophmore year, and it's on to what will probably be my most important year in high school. but it's okay, i'll get through it just fine. it's great seeing all of my fellow classmates be so excited. just seeing everyone in those few minutes after that last final was enough to get anyone hyper. though i am very glad to be sitting here in the quiet house. well, that's it for now.
